Delightful, slight melancholic and lyrical; such is the particular Nordic tone of this orchestra
It features some of the well-known and popular Nordic songs along with others that may be widely familiar in one country, but obscure in another. Combined, they reveal a narrative and musical unity across variances in language and tradition.

The ballads are adapted to a contemporary frame which preserves a melodic and epic quality. A folk tune with a hint of gentle jazz. They are from all of the Nordic countries: Greenland, the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark, performed by Jullie Hjetland in the original language.
